Support Our Troops

Hanging a magnet on the back of your car. Placing a bumper sticker that says"We will succeed" or "American Freedom", so that the world can bask in the glow of your patriotism. You believe you are supporting the troops in Iraq. You condemn any one who questions the reasons we sent our troops into Iraq. You proudly and vehemently defend our president and government. You never waver.
You ignore the fact that our president and vice president admitted there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction. You turn a blind eye to the fact that our military tortured detainees and was caught doing so by humanitarian organizations. You forgive the fact that our government placed our soldiers in harms way due to poor planning and inferior equipment. You forget the fact that Dick Cheneys company HALIBURTON(Through a no bid contract) and the oil companies that helped Bush get elected have profited immensely from the war in Iraq(Coincidence?). You ignore the fact that thousands of our young men and women have died not defending our country but attacking another. You forget the fact that our president said we were attacking Iraq because they were poised to strike with WMDs, now it's Iraqi Freedom. You're O.K. with the fact that there are thousands of young men with missing limbs recovering in Germany. You're fine with the fact that Donald Rumsfeld didn't have enough respect for the fallen to sign the death letters sent to their families. He had a machine do it. You're comfortable with the fact that Donald Rumsfeld, your Defense Secretary has imposed such severe cut backs to health benefits for military personnel that he is named in a class action lawsuit on behalf of thousands of Vets. If I were in Iraq fighting for my life and the lives of those around me, could you understand if I were confused as to who was really supporting me?
